Anti-static coating
Our anti-static coating is suitable for application on surfaces that accumulate charges. In that way they become conductive.
Static electricity can build up through friction, pressure and separation, it can also be generated when liquids move in contact with other materials. This is quite a usual case when a liquid is moving through pipes. It can also happen when a fluid mixes, pours, or when is pumped, filtered or otherwise agitated. In that way, static electricity can occur in containers such as fuel tanks.
Usually, it is not possible to totally prevent the generation of static electricity. However, we can minimise it considerably through the application of certain precautions and measurements. One of them is the use of anti-static coatings.
We supply our ink for anti-static coatings for polyethylene and polypropylene with a range of properties and standards. Usually these high resistance anti static coatings are in darker colours but we can formulate them in other colours as well.
Apply them in mould or on mould with a variety of tools such as roller brushes, spraying guns, air-brush etc. They can be oil based and flame cured or solvent based and air cured via solvent evaporation.
